The history of the Wiesergut dates back to the year 1350. Even then, the Kröll family—who still own the farm and the Wiesergut today—was engaged in agriculture at the “Wiesern” estate. For a long time, the farm was not only an agricultural enterprise but also a place to linger. A place where hospitality was—and still is—lived out. Sepp Kröll’s great-grandmother began hosting travelers and summer vacationers at the farm as early as the late 19th century. What began as a simple inn evolved over the years into a traditional family hotel with around 100 beds. The turn of the millennium brought change, and so in the early 2000s, Sepp Kröll took the bold step of moving away from the classic Alpine hotel model toward a place where modern, nature-inspired architecture blends with traditional values.
